HEMOFARM – A SHORTCUT TO GLOBAL SUCCESS

Hemofarm is an international pharmaceutical group operating in 30 countries worldwide.

Miraculous Development
Hemofarm developed from a small local factory with 30 employees , established in Vrsac in 1960. The first product in its range was aminopyrine, in the form of 0.1 and 0.3 gram tablets. 26 more products of the simplest pharmacopoeic type were registered by the end of that year.
In 1973, Hemoplast, a factory for the production of paper and plastic packaging material, was constructed. In 1977, production of freezer dried forms began. The next major development was construction of a microbiological laboratory with a farm, as well as a garage and workshop.
One of the major projects abroad in 2004 involved the construction of a factory for production of solid drug forms in Obninsk , Russia.
